We've had a fantastic first day so far! The children have taken on the via ferratta and have played frisbee golf! Tomorrow's packed with activities, but it's nearly time for hot choc and marshmallows!

Lydia's 100wc - week 38:
In the Caribbean, where the sea shimmers in the balmy, blazing sun: sat on a rock was a mermaid with vividly-coloured hair cascading down her radiant, enchanting face. Her silk, flowing hair covered her teal eyes.
One day she sat upon her rock watching the fishes come and go.When the sun rose from behind island Slogam, it burnt her hands to a scarlet tan.She swished around the ocean until she met an elderly fish.
“Where are all the other creatures?” Asked the mermaid curiously,
“They are hiding” Explained the fish,
“Why?” Asked the mermaid,
“But it is far too hot to be out!” Answered the fish.
And the mermaid swam under the sea for the rest of the day.

Lily B's 100wc - week 38:
Dear diary,
I just got home from the WORST holiday of my life! When we arrived at Hawaii I was amazed at the sight of our fantabulous hotel! There was a pool the size of my whole street and the most luxurious beach with pale, golden sand and a crystal clear blue ocean! We quickly unpacked and I dived straight into the pool. Then, I wanted to go instantly sunbathing at the beach, but it was far too hot. I decided that I’d rather go on the balcony and listen to my iPod, but it was far too hot. I went to the town by the hotel then, and I saw the loveliest restaurant but the only spare seat was right in the sun, and that was far too hot. So basically I spent the whole time in the pool, which I know sounds really fun, but the nearby old people's home came every hour to do their hourly exercises! That was horrible! So therefore, next summer we're just going to a caravan in Wales.

Sienna's 100wc - week 38:
I woke under the blood red sun feeling dazed, but then thoughts of the mirthless shadow cascading eerily among blackened stone flooded back so I ascended, tottering uncertainly. WHAM! A gash materialised onto my ankle and I was thrown backwards; landing with a deafening crunch on a dusty ball. Two figures, fluid as smoke, unfurled themselves from the shattered remains.I tried to grab it, but it was far too hot: a blinding blue light shot from the glittering ball blinding me.
